The Soundking CXA044 is a 4-channel audio extender box that has 4x XLR-M outputs and 4x XLR-M isolated outputs. It is designed to work with the CXA043 which has 4x direct XLR-F inputs and 4x isolated XLR-M outputs. Both extender boxes have RJ45 network connector and grounding switches. Using a network cable, Cat5 or Cat6, instead of four audio cables, four channels of audio signal can be transferred by simply connecting a shelded Cat 5 or 6 ethernet cable between the two extender boxes. This also provides phantom power for microphone though direct output.

Both CXA043 and CXA044 units are equipped with isolation transformers, which eliminate the problem of AC noise cause by grounding circuit. The isolated through channels could be utailised for running to a side of stage monitor mixer via XLR cables, while the ethernet line ging to FOH mixer. The Cat5 Ethernet cable transmission is widely applicable lightweight and economical, saving cost and making wiring much easier.
