Refunds and Returns

If you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return it within 7 days of the order date for a refund or exchange.

  • Refunds apply to the value of the equipment only, minus a 5% restocking fee.
  • Shipping (both outbound and return) is the customer’s responsibility.
  • You must contact JD’s Sound & Lighting before returning any item.

Return Conditions:

  • Items must be in perfect condition, free from scratches or signs of wear.
  • All original packaging, documentation and accessories (warranty cards, manuals, cables, etc.) must be included.
  • Items that don’t meet these conditions may incur an additional 20% restocking fee.

Cancellations:

  • If an order is cancelled after shipping or if delivery is refused, a 10% restocking fee and all shipping charges will be billed.
  • If the item has not yet shipped, a full refund will be issued.

Non-Returnable Items:

  • Light bulbs
  • Fluids
  • Speaker Drivers
  • Headphones
  • Microphones
  • Clearance items
  • Special orders
  • Custom-made products

While we do our best to check for errors, mistakes may occur. JD’s Sound & Lighting is not responsible for any typographical errors in specifications, image content, pricing, or price changes. Product specifications and pricing are subject to change without notice.


Layby Policy

JD’s Sound & Lighting offers up to 3 month laybys on most items. Longer terms may be arranged upon approval.

  • Minimum 10% deposit required
  • Payments must be made at least once every 4 weeks
  • No refunds on overdue laybys
  • Layby cancellation fee: 20% of invoice total

Special Orders & Custom Orders:

  • Non-refundable if cancelled
  • Special Orders: Non-stock items ordered in at customer’s request
  • Custom Orders: Non-stock items customised to customer specifications

Contact us during the layby period to request a payment extension. No refunds will be given on overdue laybys unless previously arranged.


Manufacturer’s Warranty

Unless stated otherwise, all products sold are new, factory sealed, and covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.

If your product has a manufacturing fault:

  1. Contact JD’s Sound & Lighting immediately for a Return Authorisation number.
  2. You may be instructed to send the product to an authorised repair centre, Australian Distributor or back to JD's Sound & Lighting. Each Manufacturer brand has different return requirements which JD's must adhere to. Please contact us for further details.

Return Instructions:

  • Use a trackable and insured shipping method.
  • JD’s Sound & Lighting is not responsible for items lost in transit.
  • Please allow at least 2 weeks for your return be received and lodged at JD's. 
  • Return shipping to JD's is the customer's responsibility.
  • If a return qualifies for repairs/replacement under warranty the freight back to the customer is handled by JD's Sound & Lighting.
