Collection: DRAPE SUPPORT KITS

Pipe & Drape Support Systems — Portable, Adjustable, Multi-Purpose

The Portable Support System is built from strong, lightweight aluminium with telescopic tubing for easy size adjustment. Free-standing and requiring no wall fixings, it sets up in minutes and packs down flat — no tools, no drilling, no permanent commitment.

Uprights adjust from 0.9m to 6.1m high using a super-easy locking ball-bearing mechanism. Crossbars are also telescopic, ranging from 0.9m to 4.1m wide. Start with a single bay and expand to a infinity-wide backdrop by adding components over time.

Who uses pipe & drape systems?

Weddings and event venues use them for elegant backdrops, room dividers, and aisle separators. Conference organisers use them to partition spaces without permanent fixtures. Photographers and content creators rely on them for studio backdrops, photo booths, and chroma key screens. DJs and bands use them for ops surrounds and vocal isolation booths. Trade show exhibitors build exhibition stands and booth enclosures with them.

Home studio & home theatre applications

Pipe and drape systems are increasingly popular as a renter-friendly acoustic solution. Heavy drapes hung from the frame absorb mid and high-frequency reflections, reduce flutter echo, and dramatically improve the sound of any untreated room — with zero wall damage.

Use them to build a vocal recording booth around a microphone for cleaner takes. Hang a full-width drape across the back wall of your home theatre to kill late reflections and tighten surround imaging. Position panels at first-reflection points on side walls to improve stereo imaging for mixing or critical listening. Create a professional backdrop for podcasting or streaming that doubles as acoustic treatment behind the camera. Divide a living room or garage into a treated practice zone without partition walls. Mount a white lycra or blackout panel as a free-standing projector screen — no ceiling mounts required.

Portability advantages

The aluminium construction keeps the system light enough to carry solo up stairs while still supporting heavy drapes. All tubes collapse telescopically and pack into a bag or the boot of a car — some kits include a wheeled flight case. The locking uprights set up and strike in minutes with no tools. Move the same kit from your home studio to your living room theatre to a weekend event and back again. Because the system is free-standing on weighted base plates, there is no drilling, no wall anchors, and no damage to rental properties.
